A family history that has continued since 1974

The initial years were dedicated to building up the vineyards holdings, acquiring parcels first in Mercurey and then Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Beaune, Volnay and Pommard: only the best names which were to fill out the domain's offering and lend a new dimension to this viticultural venture.

Expansion of the estate

After 25 years of acquisition, the estate now spreads over 22 hectares and 11 prestigious villages, amongst which feature the famous appelations of Puligny-Montrachet, the hill of Corton, Chambolle-Musigny and even the Clos de Vougeot. It is at this point that the grandson of the founders, Francois Delaby, takes over the reins of the estate with the ambition of improving the quality and developing the domain's reputation.

Work and a qualitative approach in the vineyard

It is our turn to pursue the family adventure as we start working at the domain and seek to understand better and to improve the vineyards' stock. Also in this year, Nicolas Ludwig joins us as oenologue and technical director. We enter a new era as we initiate organic agriculture and non-interventionist wine-making.

Inauguration of our new cellar, a place that reflects our aims and aspirations

Our quest for excellence continues with a new cellar to raise our wines, to age our collection of magnums and to create a tasting room where we can host our professional customers. Still not finished, we became artisanal distillers, launching "L'Esprit Genot-Boulanger".
